With Southern California’s Fall weather a little warmer than usual, we thought, “Why not head to Palm Springs for a quilt show.” Who says no to a quilt show…right? It was our third year to attend Quiltfest Oasis Palm Springs, and the two hour drive was worth it. So many beautiful quilts from all around the world. As you can tell from the pictures, there was inspiration at every turn. That being said, I was a bit discouraged with the number of quilts and the number of vendors. The show has shrunk over the past 2 years. I’m sure there are reasons for the shows’ short comings. I’m just telling my observations and thoughts. Here in California our quilt shops are slowly going away. I enjoy going to shows and seeing what is new in the sewing world. I loved the quilts and will definitely go again next year.
