Kept In Stitches

Confessions of a fabric hoarder

At the July 4th party this year, I was asked to make a quilt for an upcoming auction hosted by Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza…I agreed. Wouldn’t you know…out of sight, out of mind. I didn’t think about it much until the deadline was drawing near. I really wanted to design something that could appeal to many different people. I don’t work with batik fabrics too much these days, but I really like all the colors being represented. Johnnie did the quilting in an afternoon and the next day was spent binding…I’m one of those people who really doesn’t mind hand-finishing bindings. Hopefully, this quilt will find a happy home and someone to comfort.
