Kept In Stitches

Last year we went to see Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns at Descanso Gardens and we had the best time ever. So this year when I heard it was going to be at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, I thought “wow I’ve got to go to this”. The weather was beautiful and we had the opportunity to stop at several quilt shops and even found a small guild show in the San Diego area. I must say that I was a bit disappointed with Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns this year. The reason I felt a little let down was because Descanso Gardens had set the bar very high. The pumpkins were amazing, however, the setting was the parking lot at the Safari Park. We walked back and forth snaking our way through a parking lot. I would definitely go back and see it again at Descanso Gardens. It was a wonderful weekend and I was in superb company.
